In 2019, we began as a group of 24 students excited to take on a new experience. We spent 6 months preparing for an 11 day service learning trip in Kampong Thom, Cambodia, where we aimed to empower the community with the introduction of leadership values, as well as strengthen the awareness and knowledge about environmental wellness. However, we left with much more than expected- a new found passion to serve the K Thom community.
In 2020, we were excited to go back and continue the our overseas service, until Covid 19 changed our plans. In response, we created programme booklets with facilitation guides for three main topics- first aid, life skills and lastly leadership, as adapted from Kouzes and Posner’s “The Leadership Challenge”. Our journey continues as we work towards greater sustainability of our actions by bringing awareness of the K Thom community to Singapore in the form of our online concert, Koncert K Thom.

The organisation that guided us from the start, Siloam Xperience is a local non profit organisation founded by Janette Goh. With great passion, Siloam has always worked towards making a difference in the lives of Cambodians through working at both a personal scale and at the scale of the community as a whole. Hope is a driving force in this organisation, as they move towards sustainability and self sufficiency by empowering them and equipping members of the community.
